William David Neal, of New Castle, won his courageous battle with an extended illness, when the Lord gently and peacefully called him home March 31, 2012. He passed at his home holding the hand of his wife and surrounded by family.
He was born December 2, 1945 in New Castle, a son of the late Hoy and Nina Neal.
David attended New Castle Schools, the University of Cincinnati and Indiana University School of Law. He was an attorney and a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #91. He attended church at The Sanctuary of New Castle.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Nancy; a sister, Elaine (husband: David) Bess of New Castle; two brothers-in-law, Ron Rezeau and Charles Sadler both of New Castle; six nieces and nephews, Dr. Charles A. (wife: Jamie) Sadler of Fishers, Elizabeth (husband: George) Gudgeon of Chicago, David G. (wife: Stacey) Sadler of New Castle, Ron Avendt of Detroit, Michigan, Abby (husband: James) Fisher Long of Salinas, California and James Fisher of Richmond, Virginia and a very special friend and devoted caregiver, Richard Klocke of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Sadler.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family
