Bobby Dale Welch

Bobby Dale Welch, 90, of New Castle, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, May 29, 2026, at Addison Place. Born on October 2, 1935, in New Castle, Indiana, Bob was the son of the late William Henry and Dortha Carol (Reece) Welch. A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from New Castle High School in 1953 and spent much of his career in sales. Many in the community will remember Bob from his years at B&B Shoes, where he enjoyed meeting people and building lasting friendships. Bob shared a loving marriage with Juanita “Nita” Bell Welch, and together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and making memories with those they loved. Their home near Mooreland was often a gathering place where family and friends were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. Whether hosting holiday celebrations, entertaining guests, or traveling together, Bob and Nita treasured the time they spent with others. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, Bob rarely missed an opportunity to make someone smile. He loved to joke and laugh, and his lighthearted nature made him enjoyable to be around. Beneath that humor was a sentimental heart. Bob treasured keepsakes, memories, and the people who made life meaningful. Special moments and meaningful relationships were never taken for granted. Bob and Nita were longtime members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #933, where they enjoyed the fellowship and friendships they formed through the years. Those left to cherish Bob's memory include his sister, Cindy Dennison of New Castle, as well as several nieces and nephews, including Alexander and Nicholas Dennison, and many friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, humor, and companionship. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita Welch, and his brother, Gale Welch. Graveside services will be held privately at Mooreland Cemetery.
