Cloie A. Jarrett

Cloie A. (Martin) Jarrett, 105, of Greensboro, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 26, 2012 in her home. She was born June 18, 1907 in Julian, Nebraska, a daughter of the late John M. and Effie (Jones) Martin. Cloie was a member of the Burton’s Chapel Methodist Church in Grayson County, Virginia and had attended the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker and Mom who lived for her children. She loved to crochet and make Sunday dinner for her children. She was an excellent cook and famous for her hot rolls. She is survived by her children, Juanita R. York of New Castle, Charles (wife: Lois) Jarrett of Greenfield, Melba (husband: Dale) Stairs of New Castle, Doris (husband: Bill) Furrow of Spiceland, Ellen (husband: Burie) Keene of Chardon, Ohio, Lois (husband: Myron) Clark of Lebanon, Alvin (wife: Mary) Jarrett of Bowersville, Georgia, Daniel Jarrett of Hartwell, Georgia, Rev. Roger (wife: Kathy) Jarrett of Crossville, Tennessee and Rollin Lee Jarrett of Conneautville, Pennsylvania; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Jarrett of Willowick, Ohio; 32 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 78 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Lockridge and Blanche Sneed both of Greensboro and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob S. Jarrett, February 17, 1978; two daughters, Geneva Jarrett, July 9, 1932 and Fern Fadeley, October 2, 2007; grandsons, Kevin Jarrett, Rick York, Harold Ray Fadeley, Russell Fadeley and Bruce C. Fadeley; a granddaughter, Carolyn Sue Patton; five great-grandchildren, Johnny Tyner, Stacey Snyder, Greg Jarrett, Heather Vitatoe and Rebecca Fadeley; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Jarrett on April 18, 2011; two sisters, Zolla Roark and Faye Maloyed; four brothers, Kyle, Charlie, Woodrow and Talmage Martin and three sons-in-law, Charles Fadeley, Emerson White and Rollin A. York. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 at Memorial Wesleyan Church with Rev. Dennis Hilton and Pastor Lynn Furrow officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday at Sproles Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
