Kenneth Dean "Kenny" Napier

Kenneth Dean “Kenny” Napier, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on July 17, 1944, in Hyden, Kentucky, a son of the late Boyd and Maultie (Jones) Napier. Kenny married the love of his life, Bessie Stacy, on March 26, 1965. Together, they shared over 61 years of love, laughter, and unwavering companionship. He dedicated 38 years of hard work to Cram Globe Company in Indianapolis before retiring in 2010. Outside of work, Kenny found joy in the simple things—fishing and a good cup of coffee—and would happily do either whenever he had the chance. He especially loved spending time at the family lakehouse on VanBibber Lake in Putnam County, a place that held many cherished memories. Kenny was known for his gentle spirit and tender heart. He had a great sense of humor and could make others laugh easily, yet he wasn’t afraid to show his emotions and cared deeply for those around him. His grandchildren meant the world to him, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He also enjoyed playing and collecting guitars and knives, and took pride in his impressive collection of fishing poles and gear. Those left to cherish Kenny’s memory include his devoted wife, Bessie Napier; his daughter, Connie Napier of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Austin (Michaela) Brooks and Lacey (Andrew) Combs, both of Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren, Grayden and Ella Rose Combs, with another great-grandchild on the way; five sisters, Sharon Kay, Maxine, Diane, Debbie, and Jan; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Ray Napier and Kenneth Napier Jr.; a brother, Donnie Napier; and a sister, Bethena Ulizio. In keeping with Kenny’s wishes, no public services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Nazarene Church rebuilding program, 5152 Hornet Dr., Beech Grove, IN 46107.
