Lee Davis

Lee Davis, 31, of Connersville, passed away far too soon on September 11, 2025. She was the beloved oldest daughter of Roy and Gina Davis. Born in New Castle, Indiana, on January 25, 1994, Lee grew into a kind, creative, and deeply compassionate woman who touched countless lives. Lee loved to travel, enjoyed getting tattoos, and shared her creativity with others. She was known for her impeccable organizational skills and took great pride in her work with USI/Metronet. She had a special bond with her niece, Maddie, often teaching her how to ride a skateboard and taking her on nature walks. Lee also cherished spending time with her sister Caity and brother Doug, especially at concerts, and she never missed a family trip or get-together. She treasured her father-daughter movie nights and her nightly phone calls with her mom. Though her time was brief, the love, joy, and memories Lee shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Lee is survived by her beloved dog, Moo; her brother Doug Davis; sister Caitlin Davis; niece Maddie Davis; papaw Philip Davis; uncle Bob (Ramona) Davis; aunt Debbie Davis; aunt Cindy (Larry) Gosser; uncle Tony King; aunt Tammie (Rick) Burton; and many cousins: Allison (Brent) McLaughlin, Nick (Cassidy) Davis, Steven Davis, Heather Hughes, Christi Swafford, Billy Swafford, Steven Swafford, Craig (Teaara) Pierce, Brooke (Josh) Moulton, Brittany Gosser, Chaz Smith, Lars Moulton, Henley Pierce, and Bane Moulton. She was preceded in death by her grandfather John Handy, grandmothers Genevieve Handy and Mildred Davis, great-great-grandmother Nina Ferguson, great-grandmothers Ruby Ferguson and Corda Suber-Dunigan, step-great-grandfather EJ Dunigan, step-grandmother Ruth Davis, and cousin Alexandra Rene’ Akers. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sproles Funeral Home in New Castle. A celebration of Lee’s life will follow at 1 p.m., with Credentialed Minister Enola Joplin and Pastor Joe Joplin officiating. A brief graveside service will take place afterward at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The House Church, 515 South 15th Street, New Castle, Indiana. The Sproles family and staff are honored to serve the family of Lee Davis.
