Marsha Dianne Jessup

Marsha Dianne (Wallace) Jessup, 66, of Kokomo, went home to be with her Lord on the morning of Friday, February 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 17, 1956, at the Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, Texas, a daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Harold and Ellen Virginia (Watson) Wallace. Marsha was a 1975 graduate of Farragut High School in Knoxville, TN, and she attended Friendsville College. Marsha loved the Lord from an early age and was very much a “stickler” in spiritual matters and was “very conscientious to serve the Lord.” She was a faithful member of Higher Ground Fellowship where her church family and deacon were very special in her life. She enjoyed crocheting in her spare time but felt most blessed in raising her children. Those left to cherish Marsha’s memory include her husband of 41 years, Mark Jessup; her eight children, Mark Jessup, Jr. of Ionia, MI, Justin (Melinda “Mindy”) Jessup of Muncie, Scott (Paola “Pao”) Jessup of Noblesville, Michael (Briana) Jessup of High Point, NC, Zaneta (Christaan) McDonnell of Kokomo, Jeremy (Emeline “Emmie”) Jessup of Elwood, Doran (Amy) Jessup of Bunker Hill, and Alisha (Joshua) Pepple of Berryville, Arkansas, and a special “daughter” Kimmy Morris of Peru, IN; 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Cathy (Richard) Hobbs of Brandon, MS, and Collette Wallace of Morristown, TN, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Wallace. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Kokomo Pilgrim Holiness Church, 3717 E. 300 S. Kokomo, IN 46902, with Rev. Thomas L. Sproles, the minister who married Marsha and Mark, and Rev. Marlin Beachy officiating. Burial will follow in Christner Cemetery near Kokomo. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a pre-service from 6:00-6:30 pm that will include special songs, scripture and a devotional. Friends may also visit prior to the service on Saturday, from 9:00-11:00am, all at the church.
