Robin Dee Tarr

Robin Dee (Rudicil) Tarr, 68, of New Castle, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of Friday, November 28, 2025. Born on August 8, 1957, in Rushville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Bobby D. Rudicil and Betty Berniece (Roland) Wells. Robin grew up in East Central Indiana and graduated from Blue River Valley Jr./Sr. High School in 1975. She had a naturally caring heart, which shone through in her work. For many years, she served as a CNA and a Qualified Medical Assistant in local nursing homes, offering kindness and comfort to those who needed it most. In more recent years, she enjoyed greeting friends and customers as a server at The Maxwell House Restaurant in New Castle, where her warmth and smile were often the highlight of someone’s day. Robin was known for her sweet, loving, and deeply caring nature. For 30 years, she shared her life with her partner and best friend, Michael “Macky” Sexton. The two were inseparable—truly two peas in a pod—sharing a bond that brought joy and steadiness to both of their lives. Above all, Robin treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. Family gatherings, laughter around the table, and simply being together were moments she held close to her heart. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving companion, Michael “Macky” Sexton; her sons, Chad (Danielle) Sparks of Muncie and Randy (Summer) Swickard of Lexington; step-daughters, Heather (Shane) Delk of Tennessee, Becky (Quentin) Dixon of New Castle, and Mara (Josh) Neal of Spiceland; a step-son, Alan (Haley) Sexton of Mooreland; and a daughter-in-law, Megan Cooper of Ocala, Florida; many beloved grandchildren, Carlie, Madison, Christian, Pierce, Conner, Koen, Cooper, David, Madison, Jami, Ryan, Cheyanne, Kenlie, Riley, Ezra, and Ezryck, and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Tina Gorman of New Castle, Bruce Rudicil of Centerville, Lori Parker of New Castle, and Brenda (Manuel) Smith of Davis, California, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her son, Jon Swickard Jr., on April 12, 2008, and by her brother, Eric Brown.
