Sharon Kay Catron

Sharon Kay Catron, 58, of Camby, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on the afternoon of Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Franciscan Heath in Mooresville following a brief illness. She was born on July 23, 1963 in Martinsville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Benjamin Arthur Catron and Shirley Ann Catron. Sharon enjoyed caring for children both in her home and had worked for several area Daycares. She was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Sharon was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church where she held a local minister’s license and was the Junior Church leader. She loved to read her Bible and inspirational books and kept a daily journal for many years. Sharon enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, her flower garden and feeding the ducks who would come right up to her patio. Mostly, she loved her family and spending time with them. Those left to cherish Sharon’s memory include her loving mom, Shirley Catron of Camby; a brother, Lawrence (Brenda) Catron of Camby; a sister-in-law, Karen Brown of Connersville; nieces and nephews, Rick (Jessica) Catron, Ben Catron (Sarah Sherwood), Rebekah (Ryan) Scott, Christina (Terry) Cox, Amanda Catron (Jeremy Ford), Carrie (John) Farrell, and great-nieces and great-nephews, Cassandra, Jay Jay, Kirsten, Logan, Hannah, Jacob, McKenzie, Gavin, Olivia, Ella, Kelsey, Kenden, Joshua, Jay, Addison, Aaron, and Liam. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Catron; a brother, Rick Catron; her grandparents, Rev. Walter and Bernice Griffith and Roland and Lorena Catron; an uncle, Larry Griffith, and a cousin, Michelle Griffith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Wesleyan Holiness Church, 5102 W. Minnesota St. Indianapolis, IN, with Pastor J. Stevan Manly officiating. Burial will follow in Mooresville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 – 8 pm Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle.
