Allen Lee Kennedy

Allen Lee Kennedy, 65, of New Castle, passed away on the morning of Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Heritage House of New Castle. He was born May 5, 1956, in New Castle, Indiana, a son of the late James and Mildred (Shadoan) Kennedy. For many years, Allen worked at Rodefeld’s Auto Parts and Goodwin Bros Auto as the assistant manager of parts. He also enjoyed working on computers as a hobby. Allen had a great sense of humor and enjoyed dancing and spending time with his friends. Allen is survived by a daughter, Mindy (husband: John) Searfoss of Chesterfield; a son, Ryan Kennedy of Anderson; a granddaughter, Corianne Kirby; three brothers, Ray Kennedy of Iowa, William Kennedy of Hagerstown, and James Kennedy of New Castle; a sister, Geneva (husband: James) Morrow of New Castle, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by six sisters, Shirley Pennington, Sue Garner, Alice Gordon, Laura Huckaby, Betty Hughes, and Roberta Hill; two half-brothers, Bobby Hughes and Charles Hughes; a half-sister, Mary Spiker, and by a niece, Abby Morrow. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Haisley officiating.
