Anna Lucile Saylor, 83, a long-time resident of West Chester, Ohio, passed quietly into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana. She was born on August 23, 1936, in Lockland, Ohio to Casper and Mattie (Purcell) Owens. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1954. During her life, she was employed at Alber’s Grocery, Playing Card, and Stearns & Foster. Ann loved the Lord and was an active member at Socialville Baptist Church where she was the church pianist/organist for many years and sang regularly. She was very involved in church missions and truly had a servant’s heart in her service for the Lord. She enjoyed gardening with her husband, Lewis, until his passing in 1999. Ann enjoyed spending time with both her church family and family. Left to cherish her loving memory include her daughters, Sharon (James) Harris of Lancaster, KY and Gloria (Clarence) Singleton of Loveland, OH; nieces, Sue (Edward) Parks of Soddy Daisy, TN and Donna McGowan of Deer Park, OH; a nephew, Stan (Diane) White of New Castle, IN; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Saylor of Stanford, KY and Jean (Virgil) Adams of Crab Orchard, KY; three grandchildren, Dawn Queen, Kelly Graham, and Jason Harris; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Saylor; four siblings, Dorothy White, Ray Owens, Paul Owens, and infant, Freddy Owens. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 2, 2020, at the Socialville Baptist Church, 5946 Socialville Foster Road, Mason, Ohio 45040, with Pastor Stan Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be offered to the Socialville Baptist Church Mission Fund.
