Bobbie J. Ziglar

Bobbie J. Ziglar, 90, of Washington Court House, Ohio, formerly of Henry County, Indiana, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was born on May 13, 1933, in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late William Edward and Mary Virginia (Hays) King. Bobbie was a 1951 graduate of New Lisbon High School. She and her husband, Jason, farmed in Henry County and Brookville. In addition to farming, they owned several businesses, including the grocery store in New Lisbon and a KB Shoe Store in Minnesota. She also worked at the New Castle Library and was an in-home caregiver. Bobbie loved horse shows and would take her children all over the country to show horses. She loved her flowers and gardening, the Denver Broncos, Peyton Manning, and Butler University Basketball. Most of all, Bobbie loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching her grandsons compete in wrestling and baseball and having sleepovers with her granddaughter, Amy. Those left to cherish Bobbie’s memory include a daughter, Kim Ziglar, of Hillsboro, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Ziglar, of Glasgow, KY; five grandchildren, Jeremy Motl of Muncie, Michael Smith of Ohio, Christina Jones of Kentucky, Jennifer Ziglar of Florida, and Amy (Shelton) Feibel of Florida; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Kamryn, and Gracie Motl, Macey and Lera McCoy, Jaxson and Brantley Feibel, Zoe and Hayden Smith, Robby and Raylynn Jones, Victoria Ziglar, and Savannah and Joshua Ali, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by a daughter, Kris Anne Bunch; a son, Jason Brian Ziglar; a grandson, Eric Motl; two brothers, William and Harold King, and a sister, Peggy Brinkley. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 5, 2024, at Sproles Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date at New Lisbon Cemetery.
