Rev. Charles R. Line, 76, of Kokomo, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at home following a brief illness. He was born November 30, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Ralph and Melissa (Cook) Line. Charles was a 1962 graduate of Southport High School in Indianapolis. He attended Frankfort Pilgrim College where he met the love of his life and faithful ministry partner, Darline S. Christy, whom he married on August 14, 1965. Rev. Line was in ministry for over 40 years, pastoring five Pilgrim Holiness Churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. He and his wife also served as missionaries in Antiqua. He worked as a Pharmacy Tech and as a caretaker for people with special needs. He loved flowers and enjoyed doing yard work. Those left to cherish Charles' memory include his loving wife of 55 years, Darline Line; four children, Craig (Joy) Line of Petersburg, Bryan (Rhoda) Line of Kokomo, Angela Line of Carmel, and Darren (Tina) Line of Cicero; 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers; Norman Line of Indianapolis and Verle (Jenny) Line of Greenwood, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor “Vic” and Larry Line. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Kokomo Pilgrim Holiness Church, 3717 E. 300 S. Kokomo, IN 46902, with family officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 - 8 pm Friday and an hour prior to the service on Saturday all at the church.
