Rev. Donald I. Miller

Rev. Donald I. Miller, 87, of Muncie, was called up to begin his heavenly duties on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born in Muncie on January 7, 1934 to the late Roy and Katherine (Younce) Miller. Don graduated from Royerton High School in 1952, and then served his country in the United States Army. After his service, Don went on to study ministry at Taylor University. He committed his life to serving the Lord as a Pastor in many communities throughout Indiana for nearly 60 years. He was grateful for the love and support from his new church family at Fountain Square United Methodist Church in Muncie. Don is survived by his nieces, Joan (John) Wong, Darlene (Jim) Toney and Pam (Luke) Melvin; nephews, Keven (Sherri) Miller, Scott Miller, David (Barbara) Mason, Rick (Claudia) Padrutt, and Tim (Diana) Padrutt; sister-in-law, Anita Miller, and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helen E. Padrutt Miller and a brother, Robert L. Miller. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 12, 2021 at Fountain Square United Methodist Church, 4405 S. Madison St. Muncie Indiana, 47302 with Pastor Steven Graves officiating. Following the service, Don and his wife Helen, who passed away on Wednesday, November 3, will be laid to rest together at Hawk Cemetery in Yorktown. Friends and family may visit a half hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Fountain Square United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the service.
