Faye (Trimble) Weddle, 88, of Burlington, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, on the evening of Thursday, August 13, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born January 1, 1927 in Nancy, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Huey Trimble and Molly (Rogers) Trimble. Faye attended school in Pulaski County, Kentucky and then married the love of her life, Rev. Earl Weddle, on December 15, 1946. Faye’s joy was being a homemaker to her family and a pastor’s wife. She was a long-time member of the Burlington Bible Methodist Church which her husband pastored for nearly 43 years. A wonderful cook, she prepared countless meals and entertained many pastor’s, their wives, students from God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, evangelists and church leaders. Faye enjoyed playing the piano and accordion and loved singing. Her life revolved around her church. She served many years as both a Sunday school teacher and a children’s church instructor. She served as head of the Women’s Missionary Society and offered Christian counsel to countless people. Faye was a gifted flower arranger, enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was well known for her strawberry jam and relish. She is survived by her sons, James Weddle of Kalispell, Montana, Chuck (wife: Charlene) Weddle of Crittenden, Kentucky and David (wife: Renae) Weddle of Burlington, Kentucky; her daughter, Debbie (husband: Kenny) Rawlinson of Prattville, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her sister, Lucille Hamm of Burlington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 57 years, Rev. Earl Weddle; a daughter-in-law, Glenda Weddle and a brother, Lloyd Trimble. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Burlington Bible Methodist Church, 6529 Rogers Lane, Burlington, Kentucky, with Rev. Darrell Stetler and Rev. Andrew Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in the Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the church.
