Helen Elizabeth Miller

Helen Elizabeth Miller, age 91, of Muncie, was called up to begin her heavenly duties on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 3, 1930 to the late Berthold and Olga (Wilhelm) Padrutt. As a pastor’s wife, she committed her life to serving the Lord in many of the communities throughout Indiana with her husband, Rev. Donald I. Miller for nearly 60 years. Helen loved her church families and in her younger years enjoyed teaching Sunday School to the little ones. She was grateful for the love and support from her new church family at Fountain Square United Methodist Church for making it easier to get in and out of church as walking had become difficult for her. Helen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Donald I. Miller; nieces, Darlene (Jim) Toney, Pam (Luke) Melvin, Joan (John) Wong; nephews, David (Barbara) Mason, Rick (Claudia) Padrutt, Tim (Diana) Padrutt, Scott Miller, Kevin (Sherri) Miller; sister-in-law, Anita Miller, and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita (Roy) Mason and Jean Padrutt; a brother, Charles (Patty) Padrutt; a nephew Chuck Padrutt, and brother-in-law, Robert Miller. Pastor Steven Graves will be officiating her Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Fountain Square United Methodist Church, 4405 S. Madison St. Muncie Indiana, 47302. Burial will follow at Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown. Friends and family may visit at the church one hour prior to service time on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Fountain Square United Methodist Church, with envelopes available at the service.
