Jean Garrison

January 19, 1938 - August 14, 2015

Donna Jean Garrison, 77, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly on the afternoon of Friday, August, 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born January 19, 1938 in Plymouth, Indiana, a daughter of the late George and Helen (Bowen) Towle. Jean was a 1956 graduate of West High School and worked for many years in the insurance field. She was a 45 year member of Tri Kappa and was an avid reader and enjoyed the sun and sand at the beach. Jean and her husband, Jeff, split their time between New Castle and spending their winters in Sebring, FL. Most of all, Jean loved time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jeff Garrison; two sons, Mark (wife: Carrie) Garrison of Sarasota, FL and Todd (wife: Dana) Garrison of Greenwood, IN; a daughter, Krista (husband: Jim) Holdren of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Ella and Gunnar Garrison, Rebecca, Sarah and Alexandra Holdren; a great-granddaughter, Hally Garrison; a sister, Norma (husband: Bill) Strickler of Crawfordsville, IN and a sister-in-law, Bev Towle of Plymouth, IN. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Don Towle. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel in Plymouth, IN with Rev. Chuck Krieg officiating where burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel.
