Randall C. McRoberts, 69, of Brownsburg, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Friday, February 4, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 14, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of Charles David and Marilyn Margaret (Schulz) McRoberts. Randy was a 1971 graduate of Danville High School and a 1975 graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana where he served in ROTC for two years. He also attended Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Randy married the love of his life, Carol Rhine, on July 24, 1976. He was employed at Eli Lilly as an Analytical Chemist and was a member of Westside Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. Randy had a deep life-long love of learning and was interested in many different things. He loved studying his Bible, photography, cooking, Formula One Racing, astronomy, music, and he was always on the cutting edge of technology. Most of all, Randy loved his family and doing things for them. Those left to cherish Randy’s memory include his loving wife of 45 years, Carol McRoberts; his son, Craig McRoberts, of St. Louis, MO; his mother, Marilyn McRoberts of Bradenton, FL, two sisters, Yvonne (Jeff) Chastain of Ingalls and Marla (Asghar) Samadifard of Zionsville; a brother, Darrell McRoberts of Bradenton, FL, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Charles David McRoberts and by a daughter, Hannah Suzanne McRoberts in 1977. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Westside Church of the Nazarene, 8610 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, with Pastor Dave Thornhill officiating.
