Barbara Snow (Bell) Jaynes Disbro

Barbara Snow (Bell) Jaynes Disbro, 78, went home to be with Jesus on the afternoon of Friday, February 14, 2025 at home. Jesus chose Barbara to be His Heavenly Valentine. She was born on May 11, 1946, in Monticello, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Dewitt Bell Sr. and Annie (Gregory) Bell Steele. Barbara was raised by her mom and her stepfather, Cleve Steele. Barbara graduated from Riley School in the Lewisville area. She was married to Jimmy Ray Jaynes and they were blessed with 22 years of marriage until his death in 1986. They had three children, Debrah Jaynes, Kimberly (Jerry) Townsend, and Tony (Sherri) Jaynes. Barbara was blessed with two stepdaughters, Sherry Jaynes and Kathy (Kevin) Weesner. Barbara worked at the Lewisville Hotel caring for the elderly residents. She really loved caring for the residents and retired after 25 years. She also worked for several years at Raintree Square. In 1992, Barbara married Donald Stephen Disbro, and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage until his death in 2024. Through that marriage, she was blessed with a stepdaughter, Jennifer Loveless. Barbara has always loved church. She attended Victory Church and served as a pastor’s wife for 32 years. She and her husband, Steve, were assistant pastors at Truth Tabernacle, senior pastors at New Harvest Church, and assistant pastors at Cross Road Church. She loved to worship Jesus and dance in His presence. Barbara was a prayer warrior and loved reading her Bible. She loved having dinners with her family, playing with her grandchildren, going for long rides, and getting ice cream. When her daughter, Kim, recently asked her momma what she was most grateful for, she said, “For souls being saved and for God being so good to me and blessing me with wonderful children. He gave me what I always wanted, a family to love.” In addition to those listed above, Barbara’s memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Paige (Jacob) Clark and their children, Elliot and Reagan; Brittany (Mike) Biehl, Levi Jaynes, Alexis (Drew) Jackson and their children Lilly and Gracie; Korbin Weesner, Aidan Loveless, and Cole Loveless; her siblings, Ellen Suttles and Mara Kendall and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debrah Ann Jaynes, and her siblings, Manual Steele, Nova Nation, Donna Pitts, Dewitt Bell, Jr., and Beula Fudge. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Sproles Family Funeral Home, Rev. Jerry Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in Lewisville Cemetery.
