Margaret "Margo" Dennison Dillon

Margaret “Margo” Dennison Dillon, 63, passed from this life at home in Winter Garden, Florida, after a brief illness surrounded by family and friends on Monday evening, February 24, 2025. She was born on September 11, 1961, in New Castle, Indiana, the youngest of six children of the late Randall G. and Barbara A. (Bailey) Dennison. Margaret’s exuberance for life and her positive attitude drew people to her. From the time she learned to walk, she ran everywhere. Her kind heart showed by always wanting everyone around her to be happy. Margaret loved her family, music, and her many friends. During Margaret’s school years, she loved singing with her family, learned to play the violin, sang in school and civic concerts and musicals, and was a First United Methodist Church choir member. Margaret graduated from New Castle High School in 1980. Soon after, she married her high school sweetheart and moved to Ocala, Florida, where she and her husband worked in radio before starting a video production company. She continued singing in church and was invited to join a local band named “Sugar Bear and Honey” as their lead singer. After many years together, Margaret and her husband amicably parted ways. She found work singing with several groups, including her favorites: ‘The Dickens Carolers’ and a girl’s group called ‘Girls Treble,’ who toured around Florida singing at local venues. Eventually, Margaret retired from her music career and became a life coach and mentor, fulfilling her desire to help people. As part of her personal health and fitness program, Margaret loved running, and for most of her adult life, she was vegan. Some of her interests included studying Astrology and learning about herbs and herbal remedies. She was also a devoted and life-long animal advocate and spent her free time caring for many animals. It is with great sorrow that all of us who knew her say goodbye to the Lovely Little Light that came into our lives. Margaret will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish Margaret’s memory include two sisters, Katherine Dennison of Indiana and Sylvia Dennison (Bob) of Wisconsin, as well as several nephews, a grandniece and grandnephew, and cousins, including John W. Bailey, Gina Cataldo, and Ameila (Don) Stearn. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd R. and Velma E. Dennison and Ralph B. and Marie Bailey, and her siblings, Melody M. Annead, David R. Dennison, and John F. Dennison. Graveside services were held at the convenience of the family at South Mound Cemetery. Special Quotes: “Love is patient and kind.
