Reva Elaine Brewer

Reva Elaine Brewer, 86, of Winchester went home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Friday, January 31, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1938 in Oakley, KS, a daughter of the late Elmer and Bernice (Weygandt) Thom. Reva grew up in Chicago, IL through her childhood and later moved to Decatur, IL and graduated from Decatur High School. She was married to the love of her life, Robert L. Brewer, on March 3, 1957. As a young married couple, they moved to Edgewood, IL and farmed for over 50 years. Reva enjoyed gardening, canning and caring for animals on the farm. She was very social and developed a treasured circle of friends. She was a faithful member at the Wesleyan Holiness Church of Winchester, IN where she previously served as secretary and currently as treasurer. Reva will always be remembered for her sweet spirit and consistent testimony of God’s grace in her life. Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Rev. John R. (Katrina) Brewer of Fountain City, IN; grandchildren, Rev. Matthew (Miranda) Brewer of Arcadia, CA and Bethany (Tim) Hartley of Alberton, MT; great-grandchildren, Landen, Lane, Brilyn and Becky; siblings, Wayne (Jan) Thom and Marilyn Donovan; sister-in-law, Sue Thom and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Brewer; granddaughter, Hannah Brewer and a brother, Warren Thom. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2025 at Randolph Friends Church 6531 N 300 W, Ridgeville, IN 47380 with Rev John Brewer officiating. Funeral services and burial in Illinois will be held from 12 – 1 pm with a service at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Keens Chapel Church 365 Buck Ln, Farina, IL 62838.
