Thomas Eugene Reynolds

Thomas Eugene Reynolds, 61, of Selma, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He loved the Lord and his family. Tom was born on September 23, 1964, in Muncie, Indiana, to William “Toby” and Effie (Davis) Reynolds. Tom attended Muncie Community Schools and graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1983. During high school, Tom participated in band and football. In 1984, Tom joined the US Navy and served on the USS Frank Cable as an E5. After honorably serving his country for eight years, Tom became a Professional Semi-Driver. Most recently, Tom was a long-distance truck driver for RG Transport. Previously, Tom had owned his own semi for eight years. In the past, Tom drove for other trucking companies. Tom married the love of his life, Sheila Renee’ Kinder, on May 30, 1997, and they shared over 29 wonderful years together. They loved to spoil their nieces and nephews. In 2009, when their great-niece Arianna came along, she renamed Tom "Pom-Pom," and that became his favorite nickname. Tom and Sheila’s favorite activity was to travel together. Some of their favorite trips were to Aruba, St. Thomas, St. Martin, and Puerto Rico. On their 25th anniversary, they celebrated in the Dominican Republic. Their most recent vacation was not only to celebrate their 29th anniversary but to take Kingston, their great-nephew, to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove. Tom was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Muncie, Indiana. He never knew a stranger there, enjoyed Sunday School topics, and loved all people. Tom’s laughter was contagious. Tom enjoyed watching Tennessee University football. Every day, he listened to Full Ride on Sirius Radio concerning college athletics. Tom even met the broadcaster for Full Ride recently. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sheila Reynolds; his mother, Effie Reynolds; his brother, Tim Reynolds (wife, Patti); sister-in-law, Chris Reynolds; and mother-in-law, Martha Kinder. Nieces and nephews: Elizabeth Keeley (husband, Jason), Ross Reynolds (wife, Marie), Breanna Zagorski (husband, Ethan), and Travis Reynolds (wife, Tori). Great nieces and nephews: Kelly Willoughby (husband, Nate), Holly Russell (husband, Jeremiah), Chelsie Schweitzer (husband, Josh), Jason Keeley Jr. (wife, Jordyn), Arianna Keeley, Easton Zagorski, Mason Zagorski, Kingston Keeley, Carter Reynolds, Brooklynn Reynolds, Irie Rose Zagorski, Insley Mae Zagorski, and Grayson Reynolds. Great-great nieces and nephews: Walker Willoughby, Brinley Russell, and Emberleigh Willoughby. Many cousins, friends, co-workers, and his faithful dogs, Toby and Baloo. He was preceded in death by his father, William “Toby” Reynolds; his brother, Bob Reynolds; his sister-in-law, Pamela Reynolds; his father-in-law, Ray Kinder; his grandparents; and many aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2204 S. Macedonia Ave., Muncie, IN, with Pastor Ron Elam and Pastor Tim Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlinson with military burial honors conducted by the US Navy and the American Legion. Friends may call from 3 – 7 pm on Monday, and for an hour prior to the service at the Church. Tom requested that everyone please wear their favorite tropical attire.
